About Me!
Welcome to my Acadia Junior High website. Through this site you can access the essential links and information for my Grade 7 Classes and my grade 9 Math course.
I have been teaching since 2012, and began my career teaching in Beijing China and Tsinghua International School. Those years taught me a lot about living in another culture, being flexible, and playing charades to communicate! I learned enough Mandarin Chinese to communicate basic conversations with locals, and I like to think those skills are very helpful teaching in such a diverse community.
When I moved back home I taught in a small community near Virden Manitoba. I was so lucky to have amazing students, and felt very welcomed into the close knit community I taught in.
Finally, I found myself in Pembina Trails School Division. It has been a pleasure being a part of this school division, and being part of the Acadia Family. I am so excited to bring my world perspective to all the students that I teach!
I also love to keep active. I play and coach a variety of sports. I love to draw and paint when I can find some time. I read, spend time with my family and friends. I like to think that I can find something in common with most people!
